Pastor Stephen Caine

Caine_FamilyHello, I am Stephen Caine and I am the senior Pastor here at First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville. I have been the Pastor here since July 2000 and I am blessed to serve such a wonderful and giving congregation. I hope that you and your family will come and visit us for worship and fellowship and that you to can find what is so special about us. Find out more about our church family on our website. Let me introduce you to my family. My wife, Monnie, is also an ordained Minister of the Word and Sacrament in the PC (USA) and is currently the Pastor of the Normandy Presbyterian Church, Normandy, Tennessee and a member of The Presbytery of Middle Tennessee. Our family includes two sons, Winston, Marion and a daughter Elliott. Apart from my work at the church I have a range of other interests. My leisure activities include reading, playing golf, participating and watching sports of all types, movies, eating at good restaurants and spending time with my family and friends.

Associate Pastor Lindsey Wade

marleys baptismWelcome to the website of First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville, TN.  I am the Associate Pastor for Christian Education and have been here for about five years now.  I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and attended college at Presbyterian College and Samford University.  After college, I went to seminary at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia and graduated in 2005.  I spent a year living in Philadelphia as a chaplain before God called me to serve here in Shelbyville.  I spend a lot of my time working with the children and youth of the church, but I can also be found preaching a sermon, visiting in someone in the hospital or working with adult Sunday school classes.  My parents and my brother and his family still live in Birmingham, but I have found a kind and generous family here at First Presbyterian in Shelbyville.  My niece, Marley, was born in late 2008, and I love being an aunt!  I have two mutt dogs and enjoy crafting, sewing, running, reading and watching TV/movies when I'm not doing "church stuff". We hope that you will join us for worship or fellowship and discover all the amazing ways God is working through this church and in the world.
